Nasolabial-fold filler procedures can improve your facial appearance. A skilled cosmetic surgeon is qualified to inject dermal and/or hyaluronic fillers. It can also increase the volume in your cheeks.

Dermal fillers

The common aesthetic problem of dermal nasolabial wrinkles can be corrected with dermal fillers. These injectables have a high safety rating and are effective in reducing the depth of the folds. They also have a smoother appearance. In nine to twelve month, patients will notice visible results.

Patients need to be aware that dermal-nasolabialfold surgery is expensive. Price varies depending upon the treatment chosen and the brand used. The amount of filler used also affects the price. It can vary across regions so it is important to discuss the cost before you get the procedure. Your provider may offer financing options if your policy doesn't cover the cost.

Filler for hyaluronic- acid

To treat nasolabial wrinkles, hyaluronic acids dermal filler may be used. The loss collagen and elastin cause the formation of these folds. The loss of collagen and elastin can also result from smoking and too much sun exposure. This filler helps to smoothen wrinkles and give you a smoother appearance.

Hyaluronic acids filler injections can be performed in a very minimally invasive manner. This involves injecting filling agents into the affected areas. The results can be seen in as little as a week and last for up to 18 month. Hyaluronic Acid Filler Injections are safer than traditional injection techniques and more effective.

Bruising

After a nasolabialfold filler injection, patients may experience bruising. The Tyndall effect is when the filler needle damages nearby blood vessels, causing blood to leak into surrounding tissue. Although bruising may be temporary, the Tyndall affect can last several months and not require treatment. It can take up to nine months for nasolabial filler to completely break down so expect some bruising.

In order to minimize the intensity of the bruise, you can apply a Lasonil cream or a Hirudoid cream. These creams can be purchased over-the-counter and should be applied gently.

Necrosis

A tissue filler can cause necrosis of the nasolabialfold, which is a potentially fatal condition. There are several options for treating this condition. Some of these involve the use of local flaps or free grafts. These treatments are best performed several months after necrosis, when the surrounding tissues are stable, and the deformed area has not yet deteriorated. However, if there is non-arterial or vascular compromise, reconstructive rhinoplasty might be an option.

The exact cause of this complication is unknown, but it appears to be related to vascular compromise. The problem could affect the nasal bridge, nasal glabella, or lateral nasal arterial, which all supply blood to this area. Sometimes the problem can spread to nasal ala and septum which connect to the ophthalmic. The majority of the times, however, the vascular compromise in nasolabialfolds is in the columellar arterial and not the facial or columnellar.

Permanence

The nasolabial line is a deep, crease that runs from one side of the nose to the other. This is the area that's often called "parentheses line" because of its distinctive shape. The folds form naturally in children who smile. Permanent treatment is an option if these lines are making you unhappy.

The cost of dermal filler is small and affordable. The right dose will be determined by your doctor after assessing the severity and folds. If you are concerned about budget constraints, have had problems with dermal fillers, want subtle results or have a history of skin conditions, a lower dosage is recommended. If you don't see results, your doctor will recommend a smaller dose. Then, repeat the procedure if necessary.
